Right now i'm spending some time on the "Player Ease of Use" specifically in the Mod Install section. I am working to make it as easy as possible to install downloaded mods, even if the mod isn't packaged for DAModder.

Working:

  • Installation of a .DAZIP directly
  • Installation of a ZIP archive that contains a .DAZIP (such as how Auto Loot is distributed). Simply drag and drop the ZIP file
  • Installation of a ZIP archive that contains a subfolder, which contains files for a Core Override mod. Simply drag and drop the ZIP file.
  • Installation of a Core Override mod that is zipped up, with no subdirectories.
  • Installation of a Core Override mod that is zipped up with a packages folder tree

Not Working

  • Installation of mods compressed with 7zip or Rar. I simply can't handle these, as the libraries to de-compress them cost money

At this time, most all mods packaged in .DAZIP or .ZIP should install properly.
